Nominees for the NCBIDA Board

The following candidates have been nominated to fill positions on the Board of Directors of the Northern California Branch of The International Dyslexia Association.

Jennifer Rabalais - Jennifer is an educational therapist. She has trained and supervised Ed Therapy interns and literacy tutors in the Bay Area as the Clinic Supervisor at the New Learning Clinic at UC Berkeley Extension. She has also served as the Coordinator of the Reading Assistance Program at San Francisco State University and Lakeshore School. Jennifer is passionate about not only teaching students but helping teachers get effective training.

Cathy Robinson - Cathy is currently a 5th grade teacher at Los Altos Christian School in the LAD Department and has been with the school for 12 years. She is also a Slingerland- trained tutor. Cathy has volunteered with Parents Helping Parents and is the parent of a college-age child with learning difficulties. She has a passion for helping parents get the support they need as they work with their children with special needs.

Cindy Schlichte - Cindy is an educational therapist in San Francisco. She is Slingerland-trained and works with children of all ages. Cindy is committed to remediating students and helping students become advocates for themselves. She is also interested in providing effective training for teachers. She is currently on the Advisory Board of the NCBIDA, co-chairing the Simulation Committee.
