Make It Multisensory

How Structured Language Approaches Help Struggling Students

with Nancy Redding, M.Ed.

Learning specialist Nancy Redding will explain the basic components of multisensory structured language education and describe some of the most popular programs. She will also show how multisensory teaching can be used with students at any grade level to improve reading, writing, spelling, comprehension, and memory. Don't miss this practical workshop, designed for both parents and educators.

Nancy Redding received her B.A. in education from the University of Texas and her M.Ed. in special education from the University of Utah. She has worked with learning disabled students for over 30 years and is currently a learning specialist at De Anza College and St. Francis High School. Ms. Redding conducts teacher workshops on the structure of language, is a frequent instructor at Orton-Gillingham summer trainings, and has co-authored multisensory curricula.

SPECIAL AFTERNOON EVENT    Join NCBIDA for a FREE Put Yourself in the Shoes of a Person with Dyslexia simulation workshop, from 1:00-3:00 pm, in the Sky Room. A no-host lunch will be offered at the cafeteria between the events. Please pre-register as space is limited. You can register for this workshop when you register for the "Make it Multisensory" workshop. Or you can register for the simulation workshop only by sending email to office@dyslexia-ncbida.org (please include your full name and whether you are joining the no-host lunch).
